A Bombardier Global 6000 with the registration number [T7-CAM] landed at Nur Khan Airbase on October 4. At first, there were rumors that it was one of those normal flights into Nur Khan Airbase by a delegation from a foreign country.
Further research revealed that this airplane was privately registered in "San Marino," however. It was evident that the PAF had acquired the aircraft after the unprecedented delay at Nur Khan Airbase.
After that question arose what was the purpose of this newly inducted jet? We figured that out a couple of days later when more Pictures of this Bombardier Global 6000 were caught by plane spotters in the suburbs of Nur Khan Airbase.
The registration number underneath the left wing of the aircraft was changed from T7-CAM to J-758, which made a significant impact this time. Although it might not seem like a significant shift, it is. because flights carrying VVIPs like the president and prime minister of Pakistan use planes with the registration format [J-75X]. Previously, Shehbaz Sharif used J-756 & President Arif Alvi still uses J-755 with the callsigns PAK2 and PAK1, respectively.
One may also question at this point that when PM Shehbaz already had a Jet why did he buy a new one. The answer to this Question can simply be attributed to the range of the birds.
Gulfstream IV's Range: 8047KM
Bombardier Global 6000's Range: 11,390KM
It's also important to note that Washington and Islamabad are separated by 11,400 kilometers (KM). The jet could barely make it there. Some people believe that Shehbaz Sharif just purchased this pricey jet so that he could go directly from Islamabad to Washington without stopping for refueling in London.
This appears to be the only feasible explanation at the moment. However, because this is a developing story, we cannot confirm or deny any specifics at this time.
